With great pleasure I announce my candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in TX-34. I will be working hard as I seek the Republican nomination in this newly created Congressional District 34. District 34 includes Cameron, Willacy, Kleberg, Kennedy, Jim Wells, Bee, Goliad, Dewitt, and portions of San Patricio, Gonzales, and Hidalgo counties. If you remember, I gained first place support in Cameron County during the 2010 primary!

As a first generation naturalized American and Texan, I have a deep appreciation for the ideals that make this country and this state great. The Constitution and Bill of Rights are what protect these ideals! What must be done to start us on the right path?

Congress controls the purse strings and the first step is cutting the hidden bureaucracy and hidden spending that has grown the Government into a beast we can no longer afford to feed. Achieving a balanced budget does not mean shutting off the power, but it does mean smart consumption.

As a naturalized American, I understand the line between a proper and fair immigration policy that allows hard working individuals to legally achieve the American Dream and border protection. We must restore and maintain safety within our district. Drug violence must not be allowed to harm our citizenry within our country.

District 34 can achieve economic freedom and job growth through less government interference, lower taxes for the independent business owner and a free market approach that encourages entrepreneurship. District 34 with its agricultural, touristic and natural resources, can thrive in any economy.

From Cameron to San Patrico to Gonzales County — Freedom, opportunity, and a desire for achievement and accomplishment are traits that the citizens of District 34 share. Elect me as your representative and I will fight with passion and energy to best represent your needs—needs that are free from partisanship, party politics, and the status quo.
